Brett Ratner’s X-Men The Last Stand closes out the mutant trilogy in decent action fun. While not as intelligent as Bryan Singer’s previous two installments, the third entry still provokes thought with the advent of a mutant antidote to “cure” the super friends. In addition, the Professor X evaporation scene and mean Jean Grey / Red Phoenix special effects are worth the price of entry.
While not as smart as Dawson’s Creek, the little home town drama that could musters high-school drama in an attractive package. NBC’s The Office Season Two DVD is a must-have for fans of the deadpan workplace comedy. Steve Carell is ridiculous as Dunder-Mifflin boss Michael Scott and co-workers Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer round out a top cast. Season Two extras like commentaries, Fake PSAs, and the Steve on Steve interview make it Blockworthy.
